A week-long pre-departure orientation kicked off Thursday, July 30, for eight Liberian high school students who will be participating in the 2015-2016 Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange Study (YES) program at high schools across the United States. Ambassador Deborah Malac stopped by the orientation to wish the students well and exhort them to represent Liberia to their best during their year abroad.
Program Officer for Special and Inclusive Education at the Ministry of Education Teatema Yarsiah and the participants’ parents attended the opening session as well.
