USAID leads the U.S. Government’s response to the West Africa Ebola outbreak. Our priority is combating and containing the virus at its source. A coordinated global response and relief effort made it possible to get to zero new infections. But our work is just beginning. We must strengthen access to primary health care so that children can get their regular vaccines and expecting moms can get the care they need to have healthy babies. We must help re-open schools so thousands of boys and girls can return to their classrooms. We must ensure that farmers can get their crops in the field and to market. We must act now to help West Africans rebuild from the devastation of Ebola and to ensure it can’t happen again.
