Learn, exchange, grow, and serve. The U.S. Department of State offers many programs for non-U.S. citizens wishing to come to the U.S. for cultural, educational, or professional exchange. These programs are augmented by local opportunities in countries around that world that allow non-U.S. citizens to explore U.S. culture and the English language. Learn more about the opportunities offered by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Cultural and Educational exchange programs are one of the essential components of American public diplomacy. The U.S. Embassy/Public Affairs Section (PAS) administers a variety of U.S.-government sponsored exchange programs which build cultural ties and bridges of understanding between Liberians and Americans.
The U.S. Embassy in Monrovia works with the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs on a variety of cultural exchange programs to reach diverse audiences. These cultural programs bring Americans to Liberia, in-person and virtually, to share U.S. art, culture, and values, while giving Americans a chance to learn about Liberian culture.
