The Public Affairs Section has partnered with four Liberian institutions to operate American Corners in Grand Bassa, Grand Gedeh, Margibi, and Lofa counties. Each American Corner offers a collection of books, magazines and other resources from and about the United States. The American Corners also offer computers for web-based research and word processing use.

The American Corners also host special programs, including a monthly speaker series and educational advising. American officials and visiting guests often serve as speakers for programs highlighting American culture and policy. Likewise, exchange program alumni and other Liberians with exposure to the U.S. are invited to share their perspectives on topics of interest.

Locations

American Corners are operated in partnership with their host institutions. They are all open to the public and adhere to the host institution’s operating hours.
